Betty Jane Vandermeer, 84, of Janesville, WI passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Thursday, March 24, 2011. Betty was born in Barrington, IL on August 8, 1926, the daughter of William and Marjorie (Wade) Weirich. She graduated from Barrington High School. Betty married Raymond Hoth Jr. in July of 1947. He died in 1969. She married George Vandermeer in November of 1972 and he preceded her in death in November of 1990. Betty resided in Eagle, later moving to East Troy and Elkhorn prior to moving to Janesville several years ago. She was a member of Emmanuel Free Methodist Church in Janesville.

Surviving are 3 children, Michael (Becky) Hoth of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Carol (Kelly) Urban of Clinton, WI, Peggy (Joe) O’Daniels of Dallas, GA, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a brother, Jim Weirich of Huntley, IL. In addition to her 2 husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a great-grandson.

Funeral services will be at Noon Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Emmanuel Free Methodist Church, 4224 Whilden Court, Janesville. Pastor Dan Grimes will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Eagle, WI. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until Noon Tuesday. The family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home. www.henkeclarson.com.
